Freeskier and Salomon Present - Backyard Jib

The Salomon Jib Academy coaches want to come raise some jibbing hell in YOUR backyard. Get out your cameras, submit your video to Freeskier and warn the neighbors. Since we are pretty confident this session will go down in history, Salomon Freeski TV will be at your house to capture all of the action.

Important Dates

Today: It's the only day that really matters, right?
October 15: Contest officially begins.
November 15: Upload ends. The contest is closed.
November 20: Winner will be announced
Late December: Filming at your lovely backyard jib.

Not- so- fine print:
Winner, be warned that Salomon and Freeskier will be crashing at your house for the night. They have strict dietary needs, some may require a nightlight and your siblings may be scarred for life.

 

How The Contest Works

  1. Upload a video of your backyard jib.
  2. Our criteria include:
    • Your jib doesn't need to be 100-feet long, sketchy or engineered by your dad who also happens to be a professional welder.
    • You jib should be fun, cool, and non-life-threatening to yourself, Salomon's athletes, onlookers and pets. We want creativity, humor, fun and skill
    • All ages may enter, limited to residents of US and Canada
    • Team Freeskier will choose 5 finalists; Team Salomon will choose the ulimate winner
    • 2nd and 3rd place videos will receive Salomon set ups
  3. Uploading begins October 15 and ends November 15, 2009.
  4. In November, the teams at Salomon and Freeskier will review all entries and pick one winner. If that's you, team Salomon will come to your house, sleep in the basement, eat your mom's meatloaf, and session your backyard jib feature while filming an episode of FreeskiTV. Freeskier will cover the whole trip for Freeskier.com and Freeskier Magazine.
